Fed's Clarida: Economy doing well despite slowdown

In a speech delivered earlier in the session, Federal Reserve's Vice Chair Richard Clarida said that although he expects the economic growth to slow this year when compared to 2018, the economy was still doing well. 

Clarida noted that the inflation remained muted and they were assessing the potential negative impact of Brexit and the slowdown in the global economy.
