US secretary of state Mike Pompeo: US is to work diligently to "fix" Iran nuclear deal

Following today's Iran noise where the price of oil caught a bid as tensions ramp up over the Iran nuclear deal, comments by US secretary of state Mike Pompeo have crossed the wires as follows:

• US has known about Iran nuclear material obtained by Israel for a while
• Iran documents are authentic
• Iran's Amad nuclear program is known, but there are "thousands of new documents" and new information found
• New information will spell out scope and scale of the Amad program
• It will make clear the Iranians lied to their own people
• Documents will "belie any notion that there wasn't a program like this"
• Information on Iran is still only "scratching the surface"
• It is now evident Iran continued to store material for some purpose and kept documents for a reason
